OCD.......................?

Basically I have pretty strong OCD tendendies (no not fully blown OCD) but they all have to do with making things symmetrical - like if i get tapped on my right shoulder I have to tap my left to make it feel right etc. And i have to switch the plug sokets i use so they all get used for equal amounts of time. Having a computer problem when signing on.?

My computer takes forever to boot up, even though I've deleted a lot of unnecessary files and other things I no longer need. I have Windows Vista Home Edition, and am plagued by a black screen that appears after I log on, and the "welcome" sign comes on. Formerly, I would then get the desk top. But in the past couple weeks, a black screen comes on after the welcome, and it lasts about a minute and a half before the desktop appears. Apparently, this has happened to a number of Vista users. Does anyone have a solution for that?

My boyfriend is in the Army and is currently stationed in Iraq. We have 30 days until our short vacation together and I am getting a '' package together to send to him. Ok, so my boyfriend is a 23 yr old fisherman. Where we live, fisherman work 4 months of the year and draw Employment Insurance (unemployment) for the rest (he's in college so he won't be on it forever). Anyway, being a fisherman means very early mornings, little sleep, not much of a life in the summer. He's always tired, whether or not it's fishing season. Since about Oct of last yr they've been trying to end his EI claim, stating that since he's in school he's no longer entitled to this money. Then in Nov, he injured his knee & had to change his EI claim to unable to work & is waiting knee surgery. This caused him to have no money from Jan until fishing started, around June. The money situation's hard on him because he owes his father money for the time he didnt have any,credit card debt,& his tuition. Since they cut him off, he sleeps almost all day and just isnt the same person he used to be. His mood changes with the drop of a pin. He can be happy 1 min, sad the next.

My iPod got stepped on.. should I get it fixed quick like he says?

K so I always take my iPod to bball practice so that if we run the mile or something I'll have it with me for some motivation, right? right. So I had it in my bag a few weeks ago, and somebody accidentally stepped on it, n I didn't find out till after practice that it had been stepped on. The screen had a big black line from the right hand corner to the middle, and a weird yellowish-blueish line running from the left of the screen to the middle. So one day, I was listening to it, and this kid's like, "WOAH what happened to your iPod?" n I was all, "It got stepped on" and he was like "oh lemme see it" so he takes it and he said it will spread, and eventually the whole thing will just stop working, so I should get it fixed as soon as possible, and it'll cost $100+ dollars. Recently, though, the black line has been fading, and it's now nearly gone, and the line seems to change a lot how like wide it is n stuff. Do I need to get it fixed, or will it still work if I just leave it?

Cannondale Rush 6 or Specialized FSR XC (2007)?

I am choosing (for now) between the Cannondale Rush 6 and the Specialized FSR XC. I just test rode both of them, but am not sure which one I like more. The Cannondale felt quite a bit lighter when holding it from the center (suggesting most of it's weight is in the center) than the Specialized did. The Cannondale has a single pivot suspension, while the specialized has a four pivot suspension. With the Specialized, it felt like I was getting more power from my pedaling, and there was absolutely no bobbing with the suspension set to its lowest setting. The Cannondale didn't bob, but the suspension seemed a little squishy when weight shifting, and I'm not sure that I liked how that felt. The Specialized shifted a harder than the Cannondale, but felt like it would do better on pavement suspension wise. I plan to ride 6.5 miles to campus with elevation change. I might choose a comparable 29 inch full suspension over these once I try some. Any opinions or other bike suggestions? Thanks!

I have 16 yr old cat, 3yr cat & 8month Bichon. They fight and misbehave daily who should I get rid of?

The threee year old cat (male) and the puppy (female) mostly play. It can be irritating, but the behavior is correctable and I'm working on keeping them in line. However the old cat is scary and the puppy is markedly more aggresive with her. Also the younger cat is aggresive with her and will chase her through the house or they fight, which gets the dog all riled up. Even when the dog is caged the cats fight for position on the bed, sometimes in the middle of the night. This has become more prevalent as the older cat has become more and more frail. She is also exhibiting undesirable behaviors she would never have done when younger. The vet said cats can actually become sort of senile and outside of being moody, frail and senile, she's in farily good health for her age. To keep the peace and my sanity, should I put the old cat down or find the puppy a new home?

My DirectTV is not working, any solutions?

My DirectTV was working fine one day, and then we come home and turn the tv on and the screen is snowy. I tried turning the reciever box off, but it won't turn off unless we unplug it. I tried resetting it but the screen turns blue and says that the DirectTV is starting up but then turns black, and goes snowy again. We have reciever boxes in 3 other rooms and they all work (these are the smaller black reciever boxes) but the one in our living room is the DirectTV plus reciever box. All cables seem fine. I tried unplugging both the tv and reciever box for about an hour and tried again but nothing changed. Any suggestions would help.

I do not think that putting the heater in the vase is such a good idea since the vase itself might prevent the heater from heating the whole tank. Since your turtle is not actually sitting on the heating element I don't think he is in any danger. I would try calling a local pet shop to see what they think. Maybe you can try taking the heater (or at least the model and serial number) in to see what they'll tell you about putting it in the vase.

For me having cat gr, which really is an oat or wheat gr, around keeps my felines off of the houseplants which can be toxic. The catnip is for entertainment purposes as it does make some cats high. It will also increase the appetites of some cats who are not interested in eating for some reason. My dogs will also eat the cat gr but then they also eat the gr outside. As long as they are not vomiting the gr, they are fine. Feed your dog a food that you can afford. I know that you are trying to do right by the dog but it won't help if you have to file bankruptcy to do so. Get the blood work done especially if she is drinking a lot of water. Some store brand foods are actually pretty good. So many people get hooked up on brand names that they forget to turn the bag over and look at the ingredients. I feed a good quality meat based food with either few grains or no grains. I look at the ingredient list. I really don't put too much emphasis on brand or where the food is purchased. In fact I purchase my dog and cat food at a livestock feed store. I feed a local brand which isn't available in many places. Even my allergy prone dog in doing well on this food.

I think my sisters are good drivers, and so is a friend of mine. I'm not sure what ANY of that first paragraph has to do with maturity. It sounds like your head was screwed on right and you've got great things ahead of you. You may be in accelerated cles and perhaps ahead of everyone you know, but you're still 15, and at 15 you are still part child. There's nothing wrong with having a good relationship with your father. Why won't my Firefox display my Bookmarks?

I reformatted my computer and backed up the whole folder that Firefox stores in the application data folder in vista, but when I try to reinstate the bookmark backups that Firefox made they won't load into the Bookmark Manager or the Bookmark drop-down list. However, they do show up in the auto-fill address bar feature. Like, if I type a website, it comes up with my bookmarks that I have for that site and different pages of that site, pages I've never been to on this new Vista install. I tried reinstalling but it didn't change anything. Whats wrong?

Don't think it's the ACM ( Airbag Control Module) Question: How difficult is it to remove and replace this unit? Dealer has told me it's too risky and dangerous for the backyard mechanic to perform. my buddy donated a model 60 marlin to me after he supposedly "cleaned" it, but it fires slow, misfires constantly, and jams like a wildcat. What could be the problem. I am a 23 year old woman... physically active, with no health problems. I have never ever had a sleep problem, and just recently in the last 2-3 weeks i've had a terrible time getting to sleep. Why am I starting to look fatter? The other day I did a bunch of exercise, but i look bigger today than then!?

Basically, the exercise I did was 20 minutes cardio, but mostly a bunch of ab and thigh stuff. I was really sore for the first couple of days, and I can tell that I muscle is harder, but when i look in the mirror it seems that my stomach looks bigger. When I feel for the muscle, i can feel it, but only after i feel a bunch of squishy fat. What is wrong with me? Why do I feel squishier and fatter after doing exercises? Is it because the muscle got bigger and made me look fatter or something? WHat do i doo!!???? please help. Im trying to look thinner. THanks.

I don't remember who wrote it or what exactly the title was. The cover of the book had this teenage girl with blonde hair or red hair in a dark cloak with a hood on. She had her hands in front of her and she was holding a stone that was glowing orange. I think the title was The stone of cold fire or the coal of fire...something. She was a slave working in a coal mine and came across that stone. I think it had magical powers and she was the only on that could harness them. I don't remember much else. I'm writing a sequal to my demigod book, and I have a question about the Underworld in Greek Mythology. I tried looking a bunch of other places, but none had the specific answer I was looking for. Anywho, this is my question: I know from "The Theft of Persphone" that you can't eat anything in the Underworld, but can you drink anything. In my book, the character is confused on where he is, and he drinks some water from this river-type thing. Later on, I realized that he wouldn't be able to leave the Underworld, and i even made it a point of mentioning how you can't eat anything there. By eat, do they mean like any type of 'sustenance' including water, or just solid food? Thanks for any help! :)

Fraud alert phone call- will this effect me?

I normally use my banana republic credit card for basic purchases...last night I used it to set up a paypal account on a second email address and made about 4 purchases from 2 different websites..I got a call their fraud detection people back regarding suspicious activity on the account. I'm uming they are just making sure I meant to do those purchases. Is there any way I could have done something wrong that would effect my credit or anything? Okay, I have used both. The Retin-A doesn't cause you to break out really bad for two weeks. It caused my skin to get dry and flake for two weeks then It was super smooth. I also used accutane. As I am sure the Doc told you, the most important thing is that you do not get pregnant while taking it! There is like a 100% chance of severe birth defects. The accutane did not dry my super sensitive skin out at all. What it does dry out severely is your lips. You will have the worst dry and peeling lips ever! Hang in there though, in 3-4 weeks you will have the clearest, smoothest skin of your life! I loved it and did three cycles on it. People would actually say, "You are so lucky. You have that skin that is always clear and flawless". I mean, I didn't get one single pimple while on it!!

I know that I could never carry a child for nine months and then just hand it over. What she is doing is not the same thing as a surrogate mother. In surrogate cases they actually take and egg from the mother and fertilize it with sperm from the father and then implant that into the surrogates uterus so the surrogate is actually not the childs mother at all. If your wife did this she would actually be the childs mother because they would be using her egg. This really is something that you two should discuss in detail, she should be a little more understanding of your feelings.
