How to take out a electic strat guitar's pickguard?

Take out the screws. I gather you have noticed the pots and such are attached to it. So after the screws each knob must be pulled from the pots and the small flat nut under them removed to free the pots. Also the pickup switch must be removed by pulling teh knob off etc.
